iPhone App Update v1.1

We just released iPhone app version 1.1 for all four apps to the App Store. This update adds the following…
craftgawker iPhone App

We are excited to announce the release of our third iPhone app. The app is the mobile companion to craftgawker and has the following features…
The app isn’t intended to replace craftgawker.com, but it should allow you to get your crafty photo fix while you are on the go.
Upcoming Features
Similar to version 1.0 of the foodgawker app, we couldn’t include all the features we wanted into this first version, so here are a few things we plan on adding to future releases…
- Shake to randomize (displays random thumbnails when the phone is shaken)
- Endless scrolling instead of “load more photos…” link
- Release to refresh/Pull down to update instead of the refresh button
- Add ability to take notes and add tags to favorited posts and sync with site
Support/Feedback
If you have any issues with the app or would like to give us feedback, please let us know via our online support community at Get Satisfaction.
To all Android phone users, an Android app is on our to do list and we will address your needs soon.
Spread the Word
If you like our free app, all we ask in return is that you rate/review the app in the App Store and tell a friend who has never enjoyed gawking at creative photos for ideas and inspiration.
weddinggawker iPhone App

We are happy to announce the release of our second iPhone app. The app is the mobile companion to weddinggawker and has the following features…

It took us over a year to design and develop the app. It shouldn’t have taken this long, but that’s another story for another day. Even with the work effort required to build the app and the additional server costs, we have decided to give away the app for FREE.
As you all know nothing is truly free these days. All we ask in return is for you to tell a friend and introduce the uninitiated to the joys of gawking at fabulous food photos. Also, if you like the app, please rate it/submit a review in the App Store.
Special Thanks
We first want to thank all the incredible food bloggers who submit to the site! Without you, foodgawker doesn’t exist. We hope the app brings you even more traffic to your blogs.
We would also like to give a shout out to our visual designer and one of our gawkerverse editors, Maria Hilas, for all the great graphics she produced for the app and sites. Last, but not least, we would like to send a big THANK YOU to our app and site lead developer, Edward Dale, for the fantastic work he’s given us over the years!
iPhone App Sneak Peek

~
We’ve been talking about and working on an iPhone app for almost a year. It shouldn’t have taken this long and some of you may have had doubts about it ever launching. But it’s finally almost done, so we wanted to give you a sneak peek of the app.
It’s a simple UI that will allow you to get your foodgawker fix on the go. We hope to wrap up beta testing and bug fixes within a week and get it submitted to the app store. The foodgawker app is first and then will be followed by apps for weddinggawker, dwellinggawker and craftgawker.
We are excited about releasing these apps and hope to do it soon!
~
